Seeding certain species into pasture when frozen can give them a head start when the growing season comes.

We rarely think about drought conditions in the midst of winter, particularly when snowfall has occurred at least five times this season. We are not concerned about watering yards, and we have no notices to limit the amount of water we use and consume in our homes.

On Sunday, Feb. 9, Trinity Lutheran Church held the second in their series of events celebrating the 150th anniversary of the church. This event was a Founder’s Day celebration and featured history and recognition of those families from whom the present church has blossomed, as well as a continental breakfast which all were invited to enjoy.

Marshall resident, 43-year-old Quentin Narron, was recently sentenced to 45 days in jail following an incident at the Saline County Jail that occurred on Oct. 3, 2024. The charges included two fourth-degree assault charges.
