Youth in Agriculture scholarships announced
The State FFA Convention will take place on April 24 in Columbia this year, and 62 youths will be recognized for having won scholarships from the Missouri State Fair and the Youth in Agriculture committee.
Strength from the Lord
Years ago, when I was a teenager, I learned this hymn while in a church choir: “God is My Strong Salvation.” It turned out that this song was based on the first three verses of Psalm 27. It has stayed with me, probably because it rhymed, as well as because the meaning of the song was so helpful to me.

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is now accepting entries for its annual photo contest. Winning entries will be featured on the department’s website and social media platforms. The deadline to submit photos is Sept. 1.
BMS, MHS to host Choral Spring Showcase
The Bueker Middle School and Marshall High School choirs will hold their annual Spring Concert on Wednesday, April 9, at 7 p.m. in the Harold Lickey Auditorium at Bueker Middle School.
Broadcast students shine with 11 MBEA awards
MISSOURI VALLEY COLLEGE -- Missouri Valley College broadcast students are bringing home a total of 11 awards from competition in the 2024 Missouri Broadcast Educators Association student competition.
Fitzgibbon Has Walk-In and/or Same Day Appointments for Primary Care
One of the challenges that exists in making sure your family’s health is a priority is knowing when to head to the Emergency Room and when to see your primary care physician. Fortunately, Fitzgibbon Hospital has been able to implement either walk-in clinics or same-day appointments in all of their primary care sites to help families with patients who need to be seen on an urgent basis. All Fitzgibbon-affiliated family practice clinics have walk-in availability weekly, from Monday through Friday, with the exception of Mid-Missouri Family Health.
