Applications available for Veterans Memory Walk Of Honor bricks

It will soon be time to add more bricks in the Veterans Memory Walk Of Honor at the Saline County Court‐house. This is open to all Veterans. Brick ap‐plications are avail‐able at the Saline County Courthouse at the offices of the Col‐lector, Treasurer, Recorder of Deeds and the former Sur‐veyors office, and Ed Reis at Wood&Huston Bank or Anne Hisle State Farm Insurance office or by contacting Charlie Guthrie at 660‐631‐9355, Honor a Veteran with a brick in the Veterans Memory Walk Of Honor .

Missouri family turns tragedy into blessing

There are few challenges in life that affect the emotion and dynamic of a family then the loss of a child. For expectant moth‐ers, the potential loss of their baby in the womb is something that can be a source of concern and anxiety well past the first trimester. For Blue Mound, Mo.‐ area resident Emma Brown and her husband, Clint, the tragedy hit home as they lost their son Charlie 17 weeks into the preg‐nancy. But the couple has de‐cided to turn the tragedy into an opportunity to be a blessing to others through their newly es‐tablished not‐for‐profit organi‐zation called Charlie’s Light.

Missouri S&T announces honor list

ROLLA — Missouri University of Science and Technology announces the names of students who made the honor list for the Fall 2022 semes‐ter. To be included on the honor list, students must have carried a minimum of 12 hours and had grade point averages of 3.2 or above out of a pos‐sible 4.0.

Cereal Box Domino Run project in full swing

The public is invited to gather on the Mar‐shall square on Sunday, March 5, at noon to watch the culmination of a Cereal Drive that kicked off on Jan. 1. The cereal boxes will be lined up like dominoes and tipped to tumble around the courthouse. The community is in‐vited to count down, cheer along, and watch the cereal boxes fall. All cereal will be donated to area food pantries on National Cereal Day, March 7.
