The Marshall Writers’ Guild met at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, in the Marshall Public Library. Present: Vice-President Sharon Eiker-Dyer, Holly Forsman, Sean Rea, President Ed Richards, Treasurer Carole Schaefer, Virginia Sprigg, Secretary Sidney Sullivan, Mary Williams, and guest Shannon Williams. Absent: Melanie Dees Campbell, Rayvin Freeman, Pat Hammer, Eveleth Hill, Mayor Vince Lutterbie, Ed and Authorene Phillips, Carol Raynor, Irene Sims and Wicky Sleight.
Diane Weinreich, FNP, was the winner of a Marshall Rotary Club raffle held during the Marshall High School homecoming football game on Friday, Sept. 15. Club members sold raffle tickets, making roughly $300 to go toward scholarships they provide. Weinreich donated a portion of her winnings back to the Rotary Club.
