The Marshall Monday Club met on Monday, Oct 9, in the Community Room of the “Rock” Presbyterian Church for its annual fall luncheon. First Vice President Bonnie Faris called the meeting to order and introduced Caleb Petet, Superintendent of Marshall Public Schools, who presented the program. He spoke about the state of the Marshall School District. With the passing of last year’s school levy, a new elementary school will be built near the Spainhower School. New architectural plans were distributed to show the design.
The Marshall High School Theatre Department is proud to announce that their fall musical is “The Drowsy Chaperone” by Bob Martin and Don McKellar, lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison. A three-day revival to benefit North Street United Methodist Church’s sanctuary restoration is scheduled from Nov. 3-5. The historic church is undergoing major renovations to the sanctuary after it was discovered last year the roof was unsafe and the building was in need of new electrical work.
