MARSHALL — This Saturday, June 24, at 2 p.m., local historian Mike Dickey will give a presentation on the Missouria native nation at the Marshall Public Library. The event is free to the public as part of the library’s “All Together Now” summer reading program.
MANAGING EDITOR “When I was working at Valley Hope as a counselor, some of the best advice my supervisor gave me was ‘When people come in, you just need to listen.’ I just thought that was great advice,” rural Saline County resident Nancy Clements said. “Sometimes you need to just listen instead of automatically trying to fix things.” Clements has held multiple responsibilities throughout her career.

It began when she was on her way home from work, driving near Arrow and Miami streets, and she saw a woman walk away from a Little Food Pantry with one can of food. Christy England tried to turn around to speak with the woman to see if she needed additional food, but was unable to catch up to her.
Ingredients Chocolate Chips/cooking chocolate—1 cup Condensed milk – ¼ cup Butter – 1 tbs Rice Krispies – ½ cup Instructions Take the cooking chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and microwave it for 1 min. The chocolate will start to melt now.
