The Marshall Kiwanis held their regular meeting at noon, Tuesday, July 18, at Montague’s. Steve Hartwig offered the invocation, and former Club President Pam LaFrenz led the pledge of allegiance and called the meeting to order with 18 members and one guest in attendance.

JEFFERSON CITY – Though it’s been a drier start to summer than usual, seasonal growth along Missouri’s roadways still needs to be mowed. The Missouri Department of Transportation urges motorists to use caution when encountering tractor mowers near the shoulders of interstates and other busy roadways.

Optimists dedicate 2 park benches

In June, the Optimist Club of Marshall held a family picnic where they commemorated the lives of Kyle Gibbs and Gene Cassell Sr., Optimist members who passed in 2022, with the unveiling of two park benches in their honor. The Optimist Club was honored to have both Kyle’s and Gene’s family in attendance to see the dedication.

The meeting of the Optimist Club of Marshall was called to order by President Matt Pennock on Saturday, June 24, at Bloomfield’s Family Restaurant. The recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Wayne McReynolds, followed by the invocation given by Gary Pennock.
