Bueker Middle School students recently captured first place in the CDMA Math Relays. Forty BMS students from sixth through eighth grade competed in the Large School division in categories such as Estimation, Mental Math, Measurement, Geometry, and Algebra. BMS scored 562 points, edging out Warrensburg’s second-place total of 545 points, followed by Knob Noster’s 304. Demarcus Franklin was the top overall eighth-grade student. Meg Linsenbardt was the second-place eighth-grade student. Josie Miller was the top overall student in seventh grade. This is the first time in at least 20 years that Bueker students have placed first in this contest. The team is sponsored by Jennifer Wilcoxson, Lari Welch and Jill Billingsley.Contributed image
