Billy Eugene Heather, 87, of Marshall, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022, at Golden Oaks Assisted Living.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice or Golden Oaks Assisted Living. Born Nov. 3, 1934, in California, Mo., he was the son of the late Howard J. Heather and Mary McKissick Heather. On Oct. 10, 1972, he married Deloris Revay Holt Tolivar, who preceded him in death on Nov. 5, 2021. Billy lived in Marshall most of his life and retired from sanitation from both Con-Agra and Cargill. Following his retirement, he worked in sanitation again for nearly 10 years at Isle of Capri casino in Boonville. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post 478.

Billy is survived by four stepsons, Steven Tolivar (Cathleen) and Michael Tolivar (Glenda) all of Marshall, Andrew Tolivar of Forsyth, Mo., and Gary Tolivar (Carol) of Hannibal, Mo.; four grandchildren, Paul Heather (Shannon), Jared Heather, Melissa Lovett (James) and Carrie Collins (Kenneth); 12 step-grandchildren, Hunter Talburt, Shawn Tolivar (Nicoya), Amber Hendricks (Justin), Tracee Peters (Robert), Paige Tolivar, Jerry Tolivar (Haley), Corrie Hernandez (Alvaro), Rosemary Wise, Taylor Schubert, Jacob Tolivar (Elizabeth), Dillon Tolivar (Hannah) and Keith Gonzales; 15 great-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two step-great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Howard Heather of Slater; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Eugene Heather; and two brothers, Jerry and Bobby Heather.
