Born March 16, 1972, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Vern Calvin Laughlin and Marybelle Potter Laughlin. Bellenda was a 1990 graduate of Marshall High School and a graduate of Central Missouri State University with a degree in communications. After graduation she began working at Pack N Mail in Warrensburg where she has worked for the last 27 years and was store manager. Bellenda was proud of her family’s heritage in Saline County and was proud to accept the Missouri Century Farm designation with her father. She was a member of the Warrensburg Optimist Club where she had served as president and currently serving as a state director, and a member of Blackwater Ducks Unlimited in Warrensburg serving as secretary. Bellenda supported animals in any way she could, including support to the Old Drum Animal Society in Johnson County, support to any humane society, support to the A.S.P.C.A. and most importantly, being “mom” to an untold number of animals. Along with her cousin, Barbara Kiser, she was an avid traveler and enjoyed going anywhere. She was a season ticket holder to the M.U. Football program and loved her Kansas City Chiefs. Bellenda was a member of First Presbyterian “Rock” Church in Marshall where she was an Elder.

Bellenda is survived by six first cousins and their families, Brenda Castle (Ken) of rural Marshall, Denise Laughlin (Kevin) of Humansville, Barbara Kiser (Bill) of rural Marshall, Greg Miles (Amy) of rural Marshall, Gary Miles (Phyllis) of Rolla, and Ronnie Thomas of Warrensburg; and her “second parents,” Richard and Margie Marks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her fiancé, Jeremy Marks.
