Valley basketball teams split home Heart doubleheader versus BenedictineLady Vikings reach 20 wins for first time in more than two decades

The Missouri Valley College men’s and women’s basketball teams hosted Benedictine (Kan.) for Courtwarming Thursday evening inside the Burns Athletic Complex in a Heart of America Athletic Conference doubleheader. The women’s team came back from a halftime deficit to pull away for a 62-54 win. The men’s team fell by a final score of 87-82.

FBLA District Contest Results

SCCC Future Business Leaders of America chapter members participated in the District-19 Leadership Conference in Chillicothe on Friday, Feb. 7. District competition consists of online objective tests, performance, and production events. The chapter will have 14 members advancing to the State Leadership Conference in 16 events.

Clay Center, Kansas – “Tom, do you believe in God?” I asked. “Yes and no,” he responded. “I believe there is a God, but I choose to believe in my Higher Power.” Most Americans still believe in God, but the numbers have been on a steady decline for decades. A Gallup poll reported in 1944, that 96% of American’s believed in God, but 78 years later in 2022 it dropped to a record low of 81%. Interestingly, when pollsters in another survey added a question about belief in a Higher Power, the numbers jumped to 88%.
