The No. 1 seeded Missouri Valley College men’s volleyball team hosted No. 8 seeded Ottawa (Kan.) in the quarterfinal round of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Postseason Tournament, Saturday afternoon. The Vikings fell behind early, and eventually lost the contest by scores of 21-25, 23-25, 25-20, 23-25.

Slater athletes came away with four top-eight finishes at the Harrisburg Eaton Relays April 11.
After the first two batters had stuck out in the bottom of the seventh inning, things looked a bit bleak for the Slater Wildcats in their endeavor to end their home game versus Concordia in regulation.
A day after the Sweet Springs Lady Greyhounds blew a two-run seventh-inning lead and lost 4-3 at Cole Camp on April 10, they rebounded to handle the visiting Orrick Lady Bearcats 16-1.
Competing against athletes from 13 other schools, the Marshall track and field teams came away with a number of medals at the Joe Shy Relays at Chillicothe April 11.
Fulton scored first. But the Marshall Lady Owls retaliated with seven unanswered goals in the final 24 minutes of the first half and two more in just over 10 minutes of the second half and ended up winning the contest 9-1 at the MHS Sports Complex Monday.
