The month of April is designated as Occupational Therapy month by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Occupational therapists help people across their entire lifespan to perform daily activities, as therapy helps them overcome injury, illness, pain or disability.

The Marshall Police Department responded to the following calls from April 18-21, 2025:
Four of the five Marshall golfers shot 18-hole rounds in the 80s and Marshall claimed sixth place at the Sacred Heart Invitational at the Sedalia Country Club Monday, April 21.
In a game that was moved from the Marshall High School Sports Complex to Gregg-Mitchell Field at Missouri Valley College, the Lady Owls scored three goals in the first half and added two more in the second 40 minutes, en route to a 5-0 North Central Missouri Conference victory over Mexico Monday night.
After the 2024-25 girls’ basketball season ended, Marshall head coach Diane Schlesselman resigned as Lady Owls’ head coach after three years. Her resignation was accepted by the Marshall School Board during its next meeting.
Down by a run with two outs and the runners on second and third, senior Chase Hemeyer whacked a double to left field. Sophomore Tytan Wiseman trotted home with the game-tying run, and senior Keiton Head sped around third and scored the go-ahead run.

A year ago, Cedric Davis II applied to be the head coach of the Slater Wildcats’ football program. He wasn’t hired as head coach, but he stayed on as an assistant coach under head coach Mitchell Jenkins.
Longtime Missouri Valley College Men’s Basketball Head Coach Chad Lance has announced he is stepping down from the program.
