Governor Mike Kehoe proclaims May as Beef Month

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – On Monday, April 28, on behalf of cattlemen and cattlewomen throughout the state, Governor Mike Kehoe proclaimed May as Beef Month in Missouri. Governor Kehoe presented the proclamation to members of the Missouri Beef Industry Council (MBIC), Missouri Cattlemen’s Association (MCA) and local beef producers during a ceremony at the Missouri Capitol.

USDA offers Disaster Assistance to agricultural producers in Missouri

Agricultural operations in Missouri have been significantly impacted by recent severe weather, tornadoes and flooding. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has technical and financial assistance available to help farmers and livestock producers recover from these adverse weather events. Impacted producers should contact their local USDA Service Center to report losses and learn more about program options available to assist in their recovery from crop, land, infrastructure, and livestock losses and damages.
