MVC to Graduate 292 on May 10

Missouri Valley College will confer 292 degrees to students at its commencement ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Gregg-Mitchell Field on the MVC campus. The class of 2025 consists of 240 undergraduates, six associate’s degree graduates, and 46 master’s degree recipients.

MoDOT Extends Weight Allowance for Truckloads of Aggregate Used in Flood Relief and Levee Repair

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced an extension of an allowance for heavier-than-normal truckloads of rock, sand and gravel on Missouri highways for flood relief, levees and other public infrastructure flood repair. The waiver allows private and for-hire motor carriers to haul up to 10% more than their licensed weight on Missouri highways.

SCCC DECA students compete at the DECA Orlando, Florida competition

Five students from the Saline County Career Center attended and received recognition at the DECA International Career Development Competition (ICDC), held from April 25-30, in Orlando, Fla. This year’s conference featured over 25,000 members and advisors in attendance. In addition to career-based competitions, DECA members engaged in leadership academies and networking opportunities with over 70 internationally recognized businesses and universities. All 50 states were represented at ICDC, along with participants from Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, China, and Germany.
