Commissioners approved various agenda items during a Saline County Commission meeting Wednesday, March 13, including payroll commission orders for Saline County Clerk Brittni Burton.Burton asked commissioners to approve the following commission orders: Commission Order 6507, for the cash transfer of payroll on March 15, in the amount of $171,527.71; Commission Order 6508, for the transfer of 941 payroll taxes on March 15, in the amount of $31,629.72, and Commission Order 6509 for the transfer of CERF money on March 15, in the amount of $4,021.56.

The old hospital ground was a topic of discussion during a Marshall City Council meeting Tuesday, March 5.Councilman Drew Green explained they recently had a meeting concerning the property, and that residents in the neighborhood, along with council members, would like to leave the property zoned as residential (R1).“The discussion was between how many houses to put on there,” Green said.
