A structural engineer specializing in older buildings and hired by the building owner has concluded that the three-story building that housed Mid-Missouri Family Health will need to be demolished.According to City Administrator JD Kehrman, the engineer has declared the building unsafe.

As summer has officially arrived, so too are the high temperatures and high heat indexes.
The Marshall School Board approved a new transportation radius for bus riders during a regular meeting Tuesday, June 11, as well as installing a new food service freezer at Bueker Middle School.In April, the district discussed the transportation radius, due to a bus driver shortage that is happening in multiple districts, as well as the potential for lesser transportation funding in the future.
