WASHINGTON – National Association of Counties (NACo) President James Gore appointed Saline County Northern District Commissioner, Stephanie Gooden to a one-year term as Rural Development Subcommittee Vice Chair of the NACo Agriculture and Rural Affairs Policy Steering Committee.Gore, a Supervisor in Sonoma County, Calif., issued leadership appointments shortly after being sworn in as NACo’s president on July 15, at the conclusion of NACo’s annual conference, the nation’s largest convening of county leaders.Appointment to the Rural Action Caucus is particularly meaningful because it represents a commitment to addressing and resolving critical issues that impact rural communities.
