Anna Marie Peel, 90, of Independence, Mo., died Sunday, June 5, 2022, at her home.

Anna Marie was born Oct. 24, 1931, in New Frankfort, Mo., an only child born to the late Bernard Bruce Winston and Sadie Margriette Blum Winston. Anna Marie grew up in the New Frankfort and Slater area. On June 1, 1952, Anna Marie married Clarence Lavern Peel and resided in Slater/Gilliam then later moved to Independence, Mo., where they have lived for the past 57 years.

Anna Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and her many grandchildren. She enjoyed watching most all sports and was quite the fisherwoman in her day. She will surely be missed by everyone who has been touched by her love and caring heart.

Anna Marie is survived by her husband of 70 years, Clarence Sr.; her son, Gregory Peel (Terri), and her daughter, Beckie Hilliard; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Anna Marie was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Clarence Lavern Peel Jr.
