Friends of Jim the Wonder Dog celebrated his 98th birthday last Friday, March 10. He was recognized by Gov. Mike Parson in honor of the state bicentennial on Aug. 5, 2021. The story of Jim and his life at the Ruff Hotel continues to be an important part of local history, as he became known far and wide for miraculous abilities — from receiving instructions in Morse code to predicting strange occurrences.
