Kim M. Taylor, 64, of Slater, died Thursday, May 25, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Slater, with the Rev. Paul List officiating. Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery with Joe Summers, Adrian Summers, Jake Brumit, Larry Brumit, George Smith and James E. Dobbins serving as Pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be John Black, Louis Eddy and Jerry Venable. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, Community Cancer Center, or Good Shepherd Hospice in care of Weiker Funeral Home.

Born Nov. 28, 1958, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Wanda Dennis Taylor. On Sept. 8, 1984, in Slater, he married Lisa M. Johnson, and she survives of the home.

Also surviving is a son, Kurt Taylor and his companion, Eric, of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Bill Taylor of Columbia; a sister, Denise Cantlin of Slater; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Taylor was a member of the First Baptist Church of Slater and was a 1977 graduate of Slater High School. He worked for the Slater Special Road District for 30 years, retiring as a foreman, and later worked for Central Missouri Agri Service for seven years as a truck driver. He enjoyed gardening, outdoor sports, and was active in area tractor pulls.
