June 4, 1955 — March 4, 2023 Sue Bakert, 67, of Marshall, Mo., died Saturday, March 4, 2023, at her home.

Born June 4, 1955, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Henry Shull and Wanda Maxine Smith Shull. On March 9, 1972, she married Toby Bakert, who survives of the home. Sue lived in Marshall all of her life and was a 1973 graduate of Marshall High School. She had worked for Tut Bellamy in the Bellamy Law Office, Marshall Electrical Contracting as their office manager, and then for American Greeting Cards.

In addition to her husband, Toby, of the home, Sue is survived by one son, Michael Tobias Bakert of Redondo Beach, Calif.; two grandchildren, Luna Bakert and Chloe Bakert; as well as other extended family members.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Chuck Shull.
