James ‘Jim’ Andrew Riggins

July 17, 1947 – February 19, 2023

James “Jim” Andrew Riggins, 75, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

At Jim’s request, no services will be held. Inurnment will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born July 17, 1947, in Marshall, he was the son of the late William Riggins and Dorothy Clark Riggins. He lived in Saline County his entire life and was a graduate of Marshall High School. On April 5, 1996, he married Brenda Faye Clause Narron, who preceded him in death on Jan. 5, 2022. He worked on the dock at ConAgra. He loved hunting, fishing, bird watching and being outdoors. He also loved sweets and cooking.

Survivors include two children, James Lee Riggins (Brandy) and Stacey Osborn (Gerald) of Marshall; two stepsons, Barry Narron (Robin) of Sedalia, Mo., and Brent Narron (Rikki) of Miami, Mo.; four grandchildren, Jesse Riggins (Brittany Stogsdill), Devin Riggins, Kevin Riggins and Jasmine Caton (Wesley); five stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth Showman (Ethan), Christopher Narron, Nash Narron, Owen Gochenour and Hank Narron; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Floyd Riggins of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jim was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Bishop; and three siblings, Bill Riggins, Vera Long and Mary Hicks.
