January 31, 1943 — December 14, 2022 Elaine C. Wagner, 79, of Mt. Leonard, Mo., passed away peacefully in her sleep, Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at her home.

Born Jan. 31, 1943, in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Adolph Henry Gembarski and Sylvia Theresa Ziemski Gembarski. She graduated from Eastside High School in Newark. On Oct. 27, 1962, she married Richard N. Wagner Sr., who survives of the home. She worked for West Hudson Hospital in Kearny, N.J., and retired from H & M Trucking also in Kearny. She had lived in Mt. Leonard since 2000, moving from Kearny, and was of the Catholic faith. She loved playing Bingo and was a New York Mets, New York Giants and Nebraska Corn Huskers fan.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; three children, Diane L. Ortzian of Margaretville, N.Y., Richard N. Wagner Jr. of Nelson, Mo., and Laura L. Woodruff (John) of Orrville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Steven McCabe, Christopher Ritoch, Nicholas Ortzian, George Ortzian and Christine McCabe; one sister, Theresa Bruce (Jack) of Harrison, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by one brother, John Gembarski.
