Carolyn Sue (Riley) Fischer, 68, of Marshall, MO, died Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, MO.

Born July 26, 1953, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Charles Ira Riley and Dorothy Maxine Nichols Riley. Carolyn was raised in Marshall and was a 1971 graduate of Marshall High School. On Feb. 20, 2004, she married Kenneth Wayne Fischer, who preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 2020. She lived in Independence for 16 years, returning to Marshall in 2021. She was a med tech at the Marshall Habilitation Center, Higginsville Habilitation Center and at a waiver home in Independence.
Survivors include one sister, Joyce Haley (Edwin) of Marshall; one nephew, Edwin E. Haley Jr. (Aurora) of Marshall; two nieces, Regina Kay O’Donnell (Randall) and Chrissy Haley of Marshall; four great-nieces, Cassandra Haley, Tara Adkins, Felicia Peters and Tiffany O’Donnell; one great-nephew, Darrick Johnson; five great-great-nephews, Braiden Welch, Jayden Stallings, Zander Yokeley, Jaxson Stallings and Kaison Case; one great-great-niece, Aubrey Yokeley; an uncle, Jimmy Nichols of Marshall; and one aunt, Barbara Claggett of Marshall.
