St. Paul’s believers in Blackburn, Missouri, were joined by congregants from St. Luke’s of Grand Pass for a Maundy Thursday worship communion service last week. The Maundy Thursday service was held in the intimacy of an upper room in St. Paul’s one-hundred-year-old church. “Maundy” is derived from the Latin “mandatum,” which means command or commission. The Messiah commanded his disciples to humbly, “Love one another as I have loved you.” Leader Janice Stoll and co-leader Terresa Stoll read Scriptures about the Last Supper/Passover night. Minister Melanie Dees Campbell, playing a fictional character visiting Jerusalem, added to the service by presenting a drama of historical accuracy. Contributed image
