Sweet Springs, Slater and Santa Fe track and field athletes competed at the Class 1, Sectional 4 meet at Mound City Saturday, May 17, and some of them will be moving on to the state meet.
The Malta Bend Memorial Post 558 will be holding a Memorial Day service on Monday, May 26, at the Malta Bend Cemetery. The service will begin at 11 a.m. Community members are encouraged to bring a folding chair, and possibly an umbrella in the event of inclement weather.
