Several personnel decisions regarding staff changes for the upcoming school year were made in a closed session of the Marshall Public School Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, April 8. Several staff members announced their resignations, including Diane Schlesselman, Head Girls Basketball Coach, for the 2025-2026 school year; K. Scarborough, Special Education Teacher at Spainhower, at the end of the 2024-2025 school year; Elaine Kelly, 4th Grade Teacher at Benton, retiring at the end of the 2025-2026 school year; Echo Madrid, 8th Grade ELA Teacher and Yearbook Sponsor at Bueker Middle School, at the end of the 2024-2025 school year; Nanette Gorsett, Music Teacher for grades 3-5 at Eastwood, at the end of the 2024-2025 school year; Ricardo Garcia, Marshall Academy Teacher at High School, at the end of the 2024-2025 school year; Mary Jo Reith, 1st Grade Teacher at Spainhower, at the end of the 2024-2025 school year; and Tammy Johnson, FACS Teacher at High School, at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
