Current drought conditions affecting Missouri

March 18, 2025 — As the state enters another dry season, the latest weekly report from the U.S. Drought Monitor, provided by the National Drought Mitigation Center (NDMC), highlights the current drought conditions in Missouri. According to the most recent data, approximately 19% of the state, or 13,530 square miles, is experiencing drought. Additionally, around 43% of the state, or roughly 29,666 square miles, is classified as Abnormally Dry, including Saline County.
