The Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra invites area residents to The Charles Ferguson Memorial Chamber Recital to be held Saturday, March 29, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 710 E. Yerby, in Marshall. The evening will get underway at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary and will feature retired Principal Harpist of the San Francisco Symphony, Douglas Rioth, assisted by MPO musicians Fr. Ryan Koster and Mr. Zeb Yoko on violin and cello respectively. This event is free and open to the public.
Sedalia – The LearningForce at State Fair Community College in partnership with West Central Association of Realtors will offer a workshop on the basics of self-defense on April 10 from 5:30-9 p.m. at the Thompson Conference Center on the Sedalia campus.
The Marshall High School track and field teams participate in their first event of the 2025 season Friday, March 21. And coaches Justin and Amanda Van Winkle will have an abundance of athletes to fill out their lineups for events.
The Saline County Career Center Educators Rising chapter participated in the State Educators Rising competition and conference on Friday, March 7, 2025. Seventeen members competed, and all will advance to the Educators Rising National Conference and Competition in Orlando, Florida to be held June 25-30, 2025.
