Seniors Chase Hemeyer, Brandon Terrill and Jalen Knox all showed out for the Slater Wildcats last Friday night.Hemeyer passed for 160 yards and four touchdowns – three to Terrill and one to Knox — and Knox raced down the field on a kickoff return for a touchdown that gave the Slater Wildcats the lead for good in an eventual 44-34 victory over the Wellington Tigers in a non-conference game at the Slater Sports Complex last Friday night.It was the head-coaching debut for Mitchell Jenkins, who was ecstatic after the victory.“I feel really good for our community and our kids,” Jenkins noted.
