Santa Fe falls to Aggies on road

The Hardin-Central/Norborne Aggies raced to a 54-0 lead and went on to claim an 80-20 victory over the Santa Fe Chiefs last Friday night.The Chiefs were trying to build off their 26-14 victory in week two over Northland Christian that ended an eight-game losing streak dating to a win over the Trailblazers in week two in 2023.But the Aggies had other intentions, and they scored touchdowns on every one of their first-half possessions and led 54-8 by halftime.The second half was played with the quick-clock rule in effect.The Aggies opened the scoring on a 46-yard quarterback sweep by sophomore Brody Fifer, and added a 41-yard run on a wingback counter by senior Kalel Bowman, a TD run on an option keeper by Fifer and a 35-yard pass from Fifer to sophomore Sam Barnett, and the lead was 32-0 at the end of the first quarter.A 30-yard run by Bowman, followed by a Fifer to Barnett pass and a 12-yard run by junior Zach Deitch and the lead 54-0 before the Chiefs scored on a 1-yard sneak by senior quarterback Bryce Hostetter.Hostetter scored on another 1-yard sneak in the third quarter, and the Chiefs also recorded a safety.

Now that the presidential debates are apparently over, and now that folks are getting serious about how they might vote in the upcoming presidential election, I keep seeing internet posts absolutely bashing one candidate or the other.For me, I am having a hard time choosing a candidate, especially if I had to choose based on character, common sense, and dignity.
