WARRENSBURG — Area residents were among more than 1,750 individuals who met graduate requirements and were eligible to participate in the University of Central Missouri’s (UCM) 2024 Spring Commencement exercises held on May 3 and 4 in the Jerry M.

The Marshall School Board of Education met in closed session Tuesday, June 11, where board members accepted resignations, and approved employment and transfers for several employees.According to meeting minutes, the board accepted the resignations of Francisco Camacho - Math - High School; Maurene Brown - Attendance - Secretary- High School; Samantha Adams - Paraprofessional - Bueker Middle School; Gynnah Gaudreau - Alternative Education - High School; McKalie Lorenz - Ag Education/FFA Advisor – SCCC; Jordyn Conner - 4th grade – Benton; Nicolas Hager – Custodian; and Troy Ballew - Custodian/Distribution Director - Central Office.The board approved the following employments: Sherry Ballenger - Bus Monitor - High School; LaNique Solomon - Kindergarten – Spainhower; Andrea Hall - Paraprofessional – Spainhower; Anne Tempel - Orchestra Asst - Bueker Middle School; Karen Ayala - Parafessional – Spainhower; Robin Hunter - Secretary - High School; Marva Fernandez - Special Education Teacher – Eastwood; Taylor Boyd - 6th grade - Bueker Middle School; Laura Thomas - Art - Bueker Middle School; Dallas Carver - Head Basketball Cheer Coach - High School.On Tuesday, board members also approved the transfer of Aliyah Woody – paraprofessional – from Bueker to sixth-grade Science; as well as Sarron DeGonia – seventh grade Social Studies – to full-time substitute at BMS.
