Club News

The Marshall Kiwanis Club held its regular meeting at noon Tuesday, May 21, at Montague’s.Jack Lenz offered the invocation, and Club President Pam LaFrenz led the Pledge of Allegiance and called the meeting to order with 23 members in attendance.Club President Elect Jeff Bergstrom announced that several members assisted with the work on the club’s north concession stand at the rodeo grounds.

Gill Memorial youth complete community mission project

Gill Memorial Baptist Church’s Youth Group, Team Valor, dedicated their afternoon on Sunday, May 19, to assisting a handicapped church member with cleaning their garage.While the temperature may have been high Sunday, the youth group’s enthusiasm was even higher as they gloved up and tackled the daunting task.Gill Memorial Baptist Church Youth Pastor Rob Kinnard said the team established among themselves who would lead and what they would set out to do.
