With prom and high school graduation season up us, the Marshall Police Department conducted a compliance check in reference to alcohol being sold to underage minors.According to a Facebook post by the department, on Thursday, April 24, MPD and a member of the Missouri Department of Public Safety Alcohol and Tobacco Control conducted a compliance check on several businesses in Marshall, and several of the businesses sold alcohol to a minor.

To the Editor,On April 18, we had the tremendous pleasure of being at the Spring Showcase of choir students from sixth to 12th grade at the Bueker Middle School.
The Slater School Board of Education approved a couple of action items during a special meeting on Thursday, April 25, including the FCA program for the 2024-2025 school year.The board also approved the Junior High, sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade girls’ softball program for the 2024-2025 school year before adjourning into closed session.During the closed session, the board approved resignation letters and new hires.No further action was taken on Thursday.
