The Marshall Kiwanis Club held its regular meeting at noon Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Montague’s.
Most people know Sir Winston Churchill was a talented landscape artist, but do you know his other favorite hobby? I’ll give you a hint, it was about as opposite as you can get, but it helps knowing when defining the man. Churchill was born in November of 1874 in a palace to an aristocratic family.

The Marshall Kiwanis Club held its regular meeting at noon Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Montague’s. Club President Pam LaFrenz called the meeting to order with 24 members in attendance. The club’s annual chili supper was discussed, and the date has been confirmed for Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, at the Marshall High School Commons in conjunction with the Owl’s basketball games.
The Marshall Police Department responded to the following calls Nov. 11-16, 2023: – Non Injury Accident – Suicidal ideations – Domestic Assault – Two cousins argued over a Facebook post and it became physical. A probable cause statement was sent to Saline County Prosecutor.
