Simply put, freezing rain, heavy snow, sleet and ice storms, and significant winds worked together to take down plenty of limbs and more than a few trees around the mountain including here at Shiloh. We cleaned up most of the “we have to get this moved” and “easy-to-getto” stuff in the spring. When autumn came, and it was more manageable, we took to the woods to check on trails that lead to various locations around the farm.

The Marshall Monday Club met on Monday, Oct 9, in the Community Room of the “Rock” Presbyterian Church for its annual fall luncheon. First Vice President Bonnie Faris called the meeting to order and introduced Caleb Petet, Superintendent of Marshall Public Schools, who presented the program. He spoke about the state of the Marshall School District. With the passing of last year’s school levy, a new elementary school will be built near the Spainhower School. New architectural plans were distributed to show the design.
