Lady Owls fall to S-C

Slater’s offense pounded out 14 hits and scored in four of the five innings, and junior Hailey Harry tossed a two-hitter in the Lady Wildcats’ 15-0 softball win at Tina-Avalon last week. The Lady ‘Cats broke up a scoreless tie with four tallies in the second inning.
After dropping a 3-0 North Central Missouri Conference decision to Hannibal in a match that was split up over two days due to bad weather, Justin Van Winkle’s Marshall Owl soccer team was looking to get back on the winning side of the ledger with two more matches last week.
Two Marshall cross country runners finished in the top five of the races at the Oak Grove Invitational last week. In the girls’ race, the Lady Owls were second as a team and claimed one of the two team plaques.
SPORTS EDITOR In two days, the Marshall Owls competed in two swim meets last week. At the Blue Springs South Duals, the Owls won one and lost three.
