Global Outreach Ministry/Hope of the World The biblical antidote to alienation, indifference, hatred and hostility is love. It can not be mere human feelings of love; human feelings, can be fickle. It has to be our spiritual love walk through the commitment and fellowship with the Lord by the Holy Spirit so we can walk in the truth to share the blessings of divine love. Jesus/Yeshua taught that there is no commandment greater than loving God first and then a second commandment that is like unto the first, which is loving our neighbor. He was drawing on the precepts of the Torah, (first five books in the Bible). We can find those commandments of love given to us by the Savior of all in Mark 12:28-34; cf Deut. 6:4-5; and Lev. 19:18. We are instructed in Eph. 5:2 to live a life of love. The scriptures tell us to walk in love in 2 John 6 and that we are to love with actions in 1 John 3:18. The reason being that, “Love covers over a multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8). The Apostle Paul wrote that of all the godly virtues a person may possess, “The greatest of these is love” (1 Cor. 13:13). This is all in the Bible.
