Speaking of front porches …

I’ve written about the memories I have of that old front porch at the little white house down in the holler where my grandparents lived when I was younger. I would also like to address the lack of front porches we see these days. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but somewhere along the line we lost our front porches, and with them I believe we lost another important part of life — neighborhoods.

Truth of love: The word

Global Outreach Ministry/Hope of the World It grieves me, when a new transliteration of the Bible is published, and people run to it, ultimately disrespecting the truth of the Holy Scriptures. Sitting in on a Bible study, a woman read a statement on a new Bible. I stated that just because a scholar was involved does not mean it is correct. They agreed for me to research it. When reading that Pentecost was referred to as a “house party”, along with other misrepresentations, I vetoed its validity to these women.
