Shoppin’ Under the Sun to feature chainsaw artist, vendors, chalk walk

Shoppin’ Under the Sun kicks off in the evening on Friday, Aug. 4, with Sips Under the Stars, a beer garden featuring JLVOE and Dirt Road Addiction.

The public is encouraged to come dance the night away and enjoy a beautiful evening under the stars on the Saline County Courthouse lawn.

3 MHS vocalists selected for Missouri Choral Director’s Association All-State Festival Choir

Three Marshall High School students, Colleen Allen (left), Joseph Leavitt (center), and Bryan Orozco (right), were honored as members of the Missouri Choral Director’s Association All-State Festival Choir on July 17 and 18. All three students auditioned in mid-September for the All-District Choir, were selected to perform with that group, and auditioned for the next level. They were among around 100 high school student performers.

She soon discovers that the home isn’t what she expected, and it holds many secrets, including a secret about missing heir Gabriel Winterborne. April and the other kids must keep Gabriel a secret and figure out who they can trust. This is a 2022-2023 Mark Twain Award Nominee book.
