The temperatures down here in the holler have been hovering somewhere around 95 to 100 degrees Farhenheit for the past couple of weeks. That means the “feels like” temps have been around 105 to 109 degrees on some afternoons. It’s been just too hot to really get too much accomplished outdoors. With the heavy dews and lingering high humidity rates, it takes until well after noon for the grass to dry out enough to mow, and then the hottest part of the day is staring you right in the face.
SEDALIA – State Fair Community College will hold a Welcome Back Bash at 10 a.m. on Aug. 23 for all new and returning students. The event is open to the public and is designed to expose students to different opportunities on campus and within the community. Campus departments, clubs, athletic teams, community organizations and businesses will have booths set up along the sidewalks of the Sedalia campus.
