SPORTS EDITOR Not looking ahead, the Marshall Lady Owls’ soccer team took care of business Monday night. With the pressure on, the Lady Owls scored three unanswered goals in the second half to beat visiting Kirksville 4-1 in North Central Missouri Conference action at the Marshall High School Sports Complex.
“The only time you fail is when you fall down and stay down.” That was one of the many handwritten signs lining the 5K route through Indian Foothills Park Sunday afternoon, April 30. Participants in the “Mental Health Matters” 5K run/walk, organized by the Mental Health Association of Saline County, had strong winds to contend with, but it didn’t deter them from walking.

Crews began replacing the Route K/EE bridge over Interstate 70 beginning on Monday, May 1, and the project is scheduled to last until the end of September. This replacement requires the total closure of northbound and southbound Route K/ EE over I-70 during this time. Additionally, I-70 is temporarily reduced to one lane and diverted to the on and off ramps of Route EE/K until Wednesday, May 3, at 6 am for bridge demolition. After the bridge removal, traffic on Route K/EE will have access to the I-70 ramps. The bridge will remain
