Wednesday, April 5- Friday, April 7 High School Wednesday, April 5 Softball Santa Fe Triangular (Bunceton, Green Ridge) La Monte at Sweet Springs, 5 p.m. Baseball Smithton at Santa Fe, 5 p.m.

After playing to a nil-nil draw through the first 40 minutes, the visiting Marshall Lady Owls’ soccer team was able to score two unanswered goals in the second half and defeat Warrensburg 2-0 Thursday.

The Missouri Valley College softball team won three of four games played over this past weekend in Marshall. With sophomore Caitlyn Vela provided walk-off hits in each game of a doubleheader, The Lady Vikings opened the weekend by sweeping William Penn 10-7 and 3-2 in extra innings Saturday.

The Missouri Valley College men’s and women’s tennis teams were in St. Louis, Mo., Saturday afternoon for matches against NCAADivision III Webster. The men’s team earned a 9-0 victory, while the women’s team finished with a 5-4 victory.
