The Marshall High School Orchestra will hold its annual Spring Concert on Thursday, May 4, at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium at Marshall High School. This concert will feature the full string orchestra as well as some of our talented musicians playing in small ensembles.

MARSHALL — The Marshall Police Department has responded to multiple overdoses in the last few weeks. Some of the victims of these incidents have reported believing they had taken Percocet, with another reporting smoking marijuana. Officers were able to use the NARCAN nasal spray to revive several of these overdose victims.
Three weeks into a journey from Tahiti to the West Indies, the HMS Bounty is seized in a mutiny led by Fletcher Christian, the master’s mate. Captain William Bligh and 18 of his loyal supporters were set adrift in a small, open boat, and the Bounty set course for Tubuai south of Tahiti.

COLUMBIA — Alyssa Bargfrede of the Sweet prings FFA Chapter placed fourth in the Division II prepared public speaking leadership development event at the 95th Missouri FFA Convention. Sixteen students from six districts were selected to compete at the state level. The Sweet Springs FFA advisors are Kristen Fenner, and Brent Niemeyer.
