Owls drop two matches on court
The Marshall boys tennis team dropped to 1-4 in duals by suffering a couple of setbacks this week. Chillicothe 7, at Marshall 2 Losing five of the six singles matches, the Owls fell to visiting Chillicothe 7-2 Tuesday.
MHS golfers compete in events
Four Blair Oaks players shot par of better, and the Falcons won a triangular golf match at the Indian Foothills Golf Course in Marshall Wednesday. The Falcons won the meet with a 141.
Valley baseball team splits doubleheader at MNU
MVC Athletics The Missouri Valley College baseball team finished its series against MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) with a doubleheader Tuesday afternoon in Olathe, Kan. The Vikings fell in the first game, 6-3, then bounced back to win game two, 7-6, and split the doubleheader.

Valley men’s lacrosse team tops Missouri Baptist
MVC Athletics The Missouri Valley College men’s lacrosse team hosted Missouri Baptist in a non-conference game Tuesday evening inside Volney C. Ashford Stadium. The Vikings fell behind early, but eventually earned a 10-4 win over the Spartans.
Three MHS basketball players earn all-district status
Three Marshall basketball players earned all-district status for the 2022-23 season, according to the Missouri High School Basketball Coaches Association. The Lady Owls, who ended a 16-game losing streak with a 52-46 win over North Central Missouri Conference rival Fulton in the first round of the Class 4, District 9 tournament, finished the season 622.
