The Paleo diet is just another trend that comes and goes. It advo‐cates a high fat diet with minimal carbohydrates and about 20% protein. Coach has a book on his shelf from 1954 touting this type of diet. This is nothing new and the same problems remain from 69 years ago. Yes, you will lose weight on any kind of diet that re‐stricts calories in what‐ever form. Low carbs, high protein, high fat, whatever, because they all cause weight loss through either restrict‐ing calories or causing water loss through de‐hydration.
