On Monday, Feb. 13, the Saline County Career Center Future Business Leaders of America Chapter traveled to Chillicothe, Mo., to compete at the District 19 Leadership Conference. Members in performance events worked diligently to prepare speeches and presentations and research topics related to the business industry. Other members took tests in advance of the competition and learned the results of their efforts at the conference.
MVC — Missouri Valley College has hired Abigail Schapira to serve as a regional admissions representative, covering St. Louis, Warren and Lincoln counties in Missouri. Schapira, a native of Rocheport, Mo., received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Central Methodist University in 2018. She has worked in enrollment management since 2019, with previous experience recruiting in the St. Louis area.
