Whether or not

Last Tuesday, some‐time in the mid‐after‐noon, the sky above our home started giving us a gentle rain. Before long, that gentle rain turned into a fairly con‐siderable downpour. A few minutes later, the raindrops turned into snowflakes.

The Optimist Club of Marshall held its regular meeting on Saturday, Jan. 28, at Bloomfield’s Family Restaurant. President Matt Pennock led the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, and Kenneth Ray Clause offered the in‐vocation. It was noted that the club had received acknowledgments from the families of club mem‐bers that had recently suffered losses. Our club has been notified by Opti‐mist International that it has received honor club status for last year under the leadership of Chad Unterreinner.
