Dear editor, Seven years ago, a group of citizens formed an initiative called “Moving Marshall Forward.” The group operated under the pretense of making Marshall a showplace and making it grow by leaps and bounds. I’m not sure what happened to the big plans and the big participants, but the only thing that was moved forward was to nearly gut the entire city government, me included, because it was no longer beneficial to the city. Their plan must have worked since I don’t even recognize Marshall any more. Oddly enough, with a few exceptions, the movers have either moved themselves completely out of town or reside mainly elsewhere, or are now silent.
